A white Chinese porcelain plate over-decorated in the Netherlands in polychrome enamels and cold painted red and black with an amalgamation of Kakiemon inspired subjects such as reeds and the three friends of winter. Marked to the back with an apocryphal sealmark of a single meander within a square.

Condition: Rim chips and frits.

Circa 1740-1760, the over-decoration being almost contemporary to the porcelain.
